Before & After: Ranch Refresh

The Story

Updating and adding functionality was the goal for these bathrooms in a beautiful home in Lake George. We started in the primary bathroom by totally reconfiguring the space without removing any walls. The vanity area became a new shower more than double the size of the original. The built in bathtub was removed and a new Navy vanity and stunning sconces replaced it. The toilet moved to where the old shower was and the new freestanding soaking tub is in the corner so a view of the Adirondacks can be enjoyed. Classic finished like subway and basketweave tile paired with luxurious orchid marble mosaic in the shower and marble cladding the walls around the bathtub. The orchid from the shower mosaic is picked up in the light fixtures.

The Guest bathroom also got an upgrade! The layout of this space stayed the same but, we were able to add another sink and lots of storage with a double vanity. The shower was also enlarged a little bit and the new dual sliding glass doors make the space feel much more open. We used tile in the shower that had warm taupe veining with wood grain hexagon tile with the same tones on the floor and a size smaller in the shower niche. These textures and warm colors are complimented by the matt black plumbing fixtures and hardware.
